Physics terms and definitions
1) Absolute zero : Absolute zero is the temperature at which all classical motion stops. Although temperature has no maximum value, absolute zero, at 0 Kelvin (K) or -273.15 degrees Celsius (°C), is the lowest temperature possible.
2) Atom : An atom is the smallest unit of matter having all of the characteristics of a given chemical element.
3) Gauss's law : Gauss's law states that the net flux of an electric field through a closed surface is proportional to the enclosed electric charge.
4) Acceleration : Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with time. Average acceleration is found by dividing the change in velocity by the change in time (?v/?t)
5) Matter : The common definition of matter is anything that both has mass and takes up space (that is, has volume).
